Harnessing the power of the wind like birds have for millions of years can be a satisfying feeling. Polish glider manufacturer Blejzyk (pronounced BLY-zick) has been producing high-quality gliders for years that fuse style and performance beautifully, and its 1.9-meter Mefisto is imported by Aloft Hobbies. Available in a thermal or slope-wing airfoil, the "full-house" wing features ailerons and flaps for unlimited radio mixing and is finished in a veneer hardwood. The lightweight fiberglass fuselage mounts a balsa-wood V-tail in the rear, then is reinforced with carbon and Kevlar for optimal strength. The fuselage features pushrod V-tail controls and a slip-on nose cone that conceals all your electronics. You will need a computer radio capable of mixing and six servos to finish the build. The Mefisto is 80 percent prebuilt and is intended for the intermediate to advanced pilot.
