Ken McSpadden: Preflight items are the same as any other model, but it's even more important to be sure that you have batteries that are fully charged and balanced, You want to avoid a deadstick condition at all costs in an electric jet. For the same reason, you should always set a timer in your transmitter to remind you to land while still having plenty of charge left for at least one aborted landing and go-around. It's a good idea to set the timer to start when you throttle up so that you don't forget to start it. Flying too long can either damage the batteries or result in a deadstick landing.
