My name is Mike Gantt, and I'm addicted to model aircraft. His name is Mike McConville, and it's safe to say we share a similar interest. The latter pilot designs and flies world-class model aircraft and has a myriad of first-place accolades pertaining to the hobby. (The former: not so much!) However, I have a fairly good hold on how to define a great-flying model airplane. They are not only comfortable, predictable, and precise; they are also tuned by pros, typically expensive, and terribly ego-killing when crashed. Maybe this is why smaller electrics are maintaining as a force to be reckoned with and why we are being offered so many different models in that genre.
