I'm constantly amazed by the tremendous choices available in ARFs nowadays. Every year, new and exciting models are released, and just when I think they can't possibly get any better, a plane like the new Multiplex DogFighter comes along to wow me. I've had the pleasure to build several Multiplex kits over my many years of being in the hobby, and this is yet another fantastic addition to the lineup. The airframe, styled after the gorgeous Spitfire Mk XVI, consists of five parts made out of extremely durable Elapor foam: the one-piece wing, horizontal stabilizer, fuselage halves and a canopy hatch. Details like the exhaust stacks, wheels and panel lines are molded in and add some panache. The all-white model comes with two large decal sheets, allowing you to choose whether you'd like to have a Reno-style racer or a classic WW II fighter. When you remove the contents of the box, it's obvious that this is a high-quality kit. The complete hardware pack provides every nut and bolt, horns and pushrods, and all the hook-and-loop fastener needed to complete the build. You only have to provide the radio gear, drive system and some standard CA and you have everything needed to release this dog to the skies. Though the build is quite straightforward, it's recommended for the intermediate/advanced pilot due to the speed and agility of which the plane is capable.
