Results to date suggest that when Cl soil test levels are low ( < 20 lb/A, 0 to 24 inch depth), most wheat cul-tivars are likely to economically respond to Cl fertilization. Whenever wheat plant tissue Cl concentrations (boot stage samples) are less than 0.10 to 0.12 percent, response to Cl fertilization would be likely.
