A number of years ago when we published two volumes of Peter Denny's Buckingham Branch Lines (a modelling title), we had to reproduce some pictures from a lovely old album of pictures by Stan Taylor. At the same time he allowed us to copy some of the others including these of Sturton, situated on the Great Central Railway between Retford and Gainsborough. The train featured was a special from Cleethorpes, presumably in the late 1940s, but there were no other details on the reverse of the prints.
