I like the new look and feel of the September edition of Electricity Today Magazine. I was at Finepoint's 18th Annual Circuit Breaker Test & Maintenance Training Conference show recently in Jackson, Mississippi, and I like how Electricity Today doubled its size to become Finepoint's "official" show guide. It seems like that's great exposure for you with your prime readership attending this event. I think the new focus of the magazine- replacing case studies with more practical articles that the reader cannot only learn about, but use in the field should really connect with your audience-assuming what they're reading isn't just basic common sense, but rather something groundbreaking they've never thought of before. I'm not sure if you'd want to have the entire magazine contents shift solely to "how-to" technical articles, but blending these practical contributed lists with other traditional in-depth white papers from the field along with other "breaking news" items, contributed articles and columns about new regulations, policies and technologies in the industry (for example, what the new FERC ruling is all about at a high level, and what it means for your readership-much like you write about in your Editor's Desk editorial) will bring Electricity Today to the next level. I've always enjoyed reading Electricity Today and I think you have a really good niche that you're targeting your content to.
