Once again Ontario's electricity sector has embarked on a path of regulatory change. Faced with significant supply and structural problems, Ontario's newly elected Liberal government has expressed its commitment to quickly resolving the Province's electricity problems. To date, the Liberal government has passed legislation to raise and ultimately remove Ontario's legislated price cap, initiated and received a report on Ontario Power Generation's (OPG) refurbishment of Pickering "A" nuclear reactor, terminated OPG senior executives and called for a further OPG review by the Honourable John Manley.
