Halting rising levels of pollution, straggling to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and meeting Kyoto targets―these are all key goals for the electrical industry as it considers future sources of power generation. With these goals in mind, the momentum grows for the industry to add renewable energy sources to power generation portfolios, and it seems wind power is the current favourite source of "green power". What began around 600 AD as a way of grinding grain into flour, is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing renewable energy choices. "Presently, there are no negative factors to this generation except for possible claims that they are ugly and distract from the natural beauty of the environment," said Norm Tretter of the Renewable Energy Consultants. "Until another sustainable form of electrical generation is found, this will become the future of electrical generation."
