Cette Commission, nouvellement créée, est placée sous la présidence de Phil Day du Northern Lighthouse Board, assisté de Michael Skov de l'Autorité de sécurité maritime danoise en tant que Vice-président. Ses deux premières sessions se sont tenues en novembre 2014 et mai 2015 au siège de l'AISM, réunissant une moyenne de 43 participants venant de 24 pays. Elle a en outre identifié des points à ajouter à son son programme, qui nécessiteront l'élaboration de nouvelles recommandations et de nouveaux guides.%The first two meetings of the newly created ARM Committee were held from 24 to November 2014 and from 25 to 29 May 2015. Both meetings took place at IALA Headquarters. The Committee Chair is Phil Day of the Northern Lighthouse Board (Scotland, UK) and its Vice Chair is Michael Skov of the Danish Maritime Authority. The Secretary is Wim van der Heijden. The Committee - as all other Committees -addresses Technical Domains related to the IALA Strategic Vision and the participants' attention was drawn to the high level standards with underlying fields containing Recommendations and Guidelines, which should be developed during the current working period 2014-2018. The framework of the standards will be drafted by the Secretariat, Committees will be asked to complete the technical details later on. An important aspect of the work is therefore the review, update and consolidation of the various existing Recommendations and Guidelines to support the new IALA documentation policy. The Committee at its first meeting divided its work into two Working Groups.WGI - Navigational Requirements is chaired by Roger Barker of the UK with Jorge Teles of Portugal as Vice Chair, and WG2 - Continuous Improvement is chaired by Gerry Brine of Australia with John Festarini of Canada as Vice Chair.
