We describe and illustrate a new species, Siseca todai n. sp. (Acari, Trombiculidae). The type material was collected from a gekkonid lizard, Gekko hokouensis Pope, 1928 on Yonaguni Island in southwestern Okinawa, Japan. This new species may be distinguished from known species by the shape of its scutum, palpal setal formula of B/N/NNN/7BS, sternal formula, and dorsal setae arrangement of 2-6-6-4-2-2.
