摘要

The noble crayfish Astacus astacus was introduced into Morocco between 1930 and 1992, but its acclimatization was only successful in Ifrane province. In Zerouka 2 reservoir, situated in Ifrane province, the water contains 70 mg per liter of calcium ions and its dissolved oxygen level is favorable for the development of this species. The density average of the population, estimated by Petersen's method, is 25 individual per m~2. The crayfish population in Zerouka 2 reservoir comprises three groups: juveniles, male adult and female adult. The juvenile population sample contained 480 immature individuals. Two age groups 0~+ and I~+ represent the juveniles. Their respective lengths are 27.03 and 54.18 mm. The age groups 0~+ confirm the continual recruitment of this population. The male adult population is represented by 576 individuals. The structure of this population shows 7 age groups (Ⅱ~+, Ⅲ~+, Ⅳ~+, Ⅴ~+, Ⅵ~+, Ⅶ~+ and Ⅷ~+). Their lengths increase from 77.71 to 146.30 mm. The female adult population, composed of 528 individual, contains 6 age groups (Ⅱ~+, Ⅲ~+, Ⅳ~+, Ⅴ~+, Ⅵ~+ and Ⅶ~+). Their lengths vary from 82.79 to 131.01 mm.
