Multiple features, including hot TGHs,geothermometry from nearby water wells,intersecting gravity gradients, magnetic low, andlow-resistivity, indicate that the south-central partof southeastern Gabbs Valley contains a relativelyhigh temperature (>130℃) blind geothermalsystem. Additional work is needed, however, tofully characterize the temperature and geometry ofthis resource and provide a platform for evaluatingcommercial viability. These tasks include: 1)collecting and analyzing fluid samples directlyassociated with the resource to better define thereservoir temperature and provide direct contextfor the TGH results; 2) integrating the detailedpotential field geophysical (gravity and magnetics)and geologic data to build a detailed 3D geologicmodel; and 3) integrating all data to developconceptual models of the geothermal resource andconstrain its size.
