摘要

This study describes the current state of use and intended future use of online databases in Germany. According to the results the usage of this information media is increasing in all sectors. Another research aim is to analyse success factors for the direct use of online databases. The respondents of the survey rated following success factors as most important: quality of databases, up-to-dateness of databases and a transparent offer. The results presented provide an insight into corporate concepts of information management and identify success factors for the optimised utilisation of external information resources.%Mit dieser Studie wird zum einen eine empirische Erhebung zum Stand und zu Entwicklungstendenzen der Nutzung von Online-Datenbanken in Deutschland vorgelegt. Danach werden elektronische Informationsdienste zukünftig in nahezu allen Branchen zunehmend abgefragt. Zum anderen werden Erfolgsfaktoren bei der direkten Nutzung von Online-Datenbanken untersucht. Als wichtigste Erfolgsfaktoren werden von den Befragten genannt: Qualität von Datenbanken, Aktualität der Datenbanken und ein übersichtliches Gesamtangebot. Die gewonnenen Ergebnisse zeigen insbesondere die betrieblichen Nutzungskonzepte auf und identifizieren durch die Herausarbeitung und Bewertung von Erfolgsfaktoren Ansatzpunkte zu einer optimierten Nutzung von externen Informationsressourcen.
