摘要

These features derived from saintly behaviour may be surprisingly simple, even obvious. For those in business, these may give an encouraging message that even for saints it is never easy or simple to blend liberality and fairness, altruism and self-interest in order to advance 'goodness' in corporate activities. Expectation should be of confusion, uncertainty, scepticism, disputes, contention and compromise. Developing rules and ethical checklists may form part of an iterative process but evaluation, assessment and re-assessment have been, historically, a continuing necessity in order to develop ethical qualities and ethical discernment leading to ethical conduct in any form of business.
