WRC-15 loomed over the satellite industry for the months and years preceding it, as fears mounted regarding the risk of losing large quantities of spectrum to the mobile industry. Though some spectrum traded hands, the final outcome was much better than expected, and viewed largely with optimism by both sides. Yet decisions that affect the whole world are never easy, and when concerning C-band, they almost went down a path the satellite industry did not want.
