In the final panel of the SATELLITE 2015 conference, "Satellite Executives of the Year Winner's Circle: Mapping a Future Path for Satellite," a star studded collection of movers and shakers from all sides of the industry closed out the conference by noting that while innovation is on the horizon, the future is still mysterious. Khalid Balkheyour, president and CEO of Arabsat; Romain Bausch, chairman of the board of directors of SES; Mark Dankberg, chairman and CEO of ViaSat; Matt Desch, CEO of Iridium; and Kalpak Gude, associate bureau chief of the Media Bureau at the FCC, sat down to discuss the uncertainties of emerging space companies, the application of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and the future of the industry at large.
