With several large Ka-band satellites now in orbit, the questions that remain involve costs for service providers and consumers, as well as the direction Ka-band will take to reach new markets. To answer these questions, Via Satellite conducted interviews with David Bair, CTO of Eutelsat, Brian Holz, CTO of O3b Networks, Paul Baca, vice president and general manager of global mobile broadband services for ViaSat, Adrian Morris, CTO of Hughes Network Systems and David Bestwick, technical director of Avanti Communications.
