摘要

The 36th annual CAIS conference was held as part of the Congress of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, at the University of British Columbia, from June 5 to 7, 2008. The conference was co-chaired this year by Catherine Guastavino (School of Information Studies, McGill University) and James Turner (Ecole de bibliotheconomie et des sciences de l'information, Universite de Montreal). In line with the CHSS theme of "Thinking beyond Borders: Global Ideas, Global Values," the theme of the CAIS conference was "Information beyond Borders: LIS Interacting with Other Disciplines."
