Label manufacturer and converter ASL Print FX of Vaughan, Ont., has been awarded the prestigious Best of the Best worldwide honors for technical excellence of its print quality during the recently-held international Labelexpo Europe 2013 exhibition in Brussels, Belgium. Competing against numerous entries from seven continents across five different printing process categories, the label produced by ASL for the Niagara, Ont.-based vintner Rennie Estates Winery captured top place in the flexographic category of the World Label Awards competition by excelling at all evaluation criteria assessed by the international judging panel: from registration to color reproduction. "This label pushes the boundaries of traditional flexo printing," according to the World Label Association's judging panel.
