Though he didn't know it at the time, Justin Gold of Justin's Nut Butters was onto something. Gold, an active vegetarian and outdoor recreationist, began making his own natural nut butter in 2002 to help power his mountain biking, trail running and skiing in the Colorado wilderness - and to feed his hungry roommates. Today, Gold and his team are still feeding hungry people with organic nut butter, as well as with 100% organic peanut butter cups and all-natural candy bars. But now, the recipients are consumers looking for something more: treats that will satisfy their cravings and their desire to make conscientious decisions.
