Wasn't it author Thomas Wolfe who coined the phrase, "You can't go home again?," I believe that also applies to memories, be they childhood, young adulthood, or merely the last 24 hours. Thirty years ago I was fortunate enough to be a college exchange student studying at Krakow's Jagellonian University, part of a Junior Year Abroad program sponsored by the Kosciuszko Foundation. During that year, our small group of Polish-American students (there were 26 of us) had a chance to go on a weeklong excursion during semester break to Moscow and then Leningrad, now once again St. Petersburg.
