The International Air Cargo Association has opened its membership to shippers - at no charge. Until now, TIACA's membership has been made up primarily of carriers, forwarders, airports, GSAs, charter brokers, and others who provide services to shippers, but not shippers themselves. The Association launched the campaign because it "recognizes the importance for air cargo service providers to gain a more complete understanding of the needs of shippers." TIACA says it will provide a forum to shippers to get closer to existing and prospective air logistics partners to exchange ideas, discuss changing needs and challenges, and to develop new business opportunities.
