Cargo Facts has heard from several industry sources that National Air Cargo, the parent of US carrier National Airlines, was the winning bidder for the Japan Airlines 747-400BCFs.rnAs part of its restructuring after severe losses in recent years, JAL is exiting the main-deck freight business and has put its freighter fleet up for sale. That fleet included two 747-400Fs, five 747-400BCFs, and three 767-300Fs. No announcement has been made regarding the identity of the bidders, but we believe several lessors were among the contenders.
