Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Company, Ltd. (GAMECO) signed a contract with Bedek Aviation Group, the MRO arm of Israel Aerospace Industries, for the conversion of up to nine 737-400 aircraft from passenger to freighter configuration under Bedek's STC. Cargo Facts believes these are the nine 737-400 conversions that are part of an agreement under which TNT will lease eleven 737 freighters from GECAS. Of the eleven, two are 737-rn300s, which will be converted at Bedek's Tel Aviv facility, while the remaining nine are 737-400s to be converted at GAMECO's Guangzhou facility.
