摘要

Ion engineering techniques using an ion beam have been applied to design the photocatalysts. The application of a metal ion-implantation method successfully enable the unprecedented design of titanium dioxide photocatalysts which can absorb visible light and operate under visible light irradiation. The ion-implantation method is also useful to prepare the titanium oxide photocatalyst highly dispersed onto porous silica glass. The ionized cluster beam method is also found to be efficient to prepare the transparent thin film titanium dioxide photocatalyst on the porous silica glass.
