On November 30,2020,Major General Thomas H. Tait, one of the best cavalry and armor leaders of his generation, made his way to the eternal resting place known as Fiddler's Green after a long illness. Generations of soldiers and officers remember this prominent general who stood 6 feet,7 inches tall, wielding a swagger stick measuring 3 feet long and 4 inches in diameter, which he called his command post.Tait was passionate about coaching,teaching,and mentoring soldiers.He loved solders,and they knew it.He possessed an intangible personal quality where,despite his size and booming voice,he immediately connected with superiors,peers,and subordinates alike.
