To support Joint research on Euro-pean smart grids EU's initiative SmartGrids ERA-Net launches a second call for research projects. At least 3 partners from 3 different participating countries must participate in each project. The call consists of a two-step pro-cess. In stage 1, each consortium sub-mits a pre-proposal. The pre-proposals are evaluated by experts in the funding bodies or involved programmes. In stage 2, the chosen consortia are then asked to write füll proposals. The projects can be started once national/ regional funding decisions have been made.
