The effect of the composition of a mixture being separated by the membrane method (pervaporation) on trans-membrane flows for the individual components of water-alcohol mixtures is studied: ethanol-water, propanol-water. The layout and design of a device is proposed for concentrating ethyl alcohol. Results are obtained confirming the desirability of using pervaporation in the food and alcohol industries.
