摘要

Methods to extend the service life of lubricating oil by restoring its operating properties and reusing it are being increasingly employed worldwide. The most promising are waste-free technologies for processing used oil. In the United States, used oil has been regenerated since 1915. A national statute on the regeneration of oil was adopted in 1975. In such countries as Germany and Japan, about 50% of all oil consumed is the product of reprocessing of used lubricating materials. In our country, oil regeneration has not yet found as strong support at the government level or when solving production problems. At present, more than 25% of the most valuable used motor oil is used as boiler and furnace fuel and the overall regeneration is less than 10% of the total collected oil. At the same time, because of the low quality of the oil collected and excessive concentration of the oil refining plants, it has not been possible to fully use the major potential savings from unregenerated resources.
