To speed up the development of cycling economy and build an energy-saving society is the key point of work in the coming years for the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ). AQSIQ has recently worked out a scheme entitled < Several comments on how to im-plement the State Council' s deployment on development of cycling economy and build-ing an energy-saving society >. In this context, the relevant departments are starting the work for building an energy-saving society at six aspects. That is: Speeding up the work of developing (revising) standards on energy-saving and clean production; Effectively doing work of certification and accreditation on products in energy-saving and environmental protection related field; Strengthening quality supervision on the products of high energy consumption; Strengthening quality supervision on the equipment of special kind; Strengthening inspection, quarantine and supervision on the important import-export re-sources; Strengthening the work of energy metrology.
