Standards, an essential technical foundation for improving economic development, social progress and human life in every country as well as an important basis for promoting international trade, has been highly valued by governments and relevant institutions of various countries. In order to enhance the communication and cooperation with WTO member countries and standardization organizations, institutions, and enterprises of all countries and regions, the Chinese government approved the publication of China Standardization (English edition) on May, 28, 2003.
