Infantile autumnal diarrhea (IAD) caused by rotavirus infection mostly occurred in infants aged below 3 years. From Sept. 1993 to Jan. 1994, the authors treated IAD with integrated Chinese traditional and West- ern medicine (TCM-WM) and achieved good effect. It was reported as follows. Clinical Materials Two hundred and ten IAD patients were In-patient in the author's hospital. Their diag- Nosis by WM was made according to the "Chi- Nese Scheme for Diagnosis and Treatment of Diarrhea" (Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 1992; 10(4): 243), and their TCM diagnosis was based on the "Essentials of Diagnosis of Infan- tile Diarrhea" published in "TCM Pediatrics" (Guo xiaoyue, Beijing: Press of Sciences and Technology.
