Keith's LED-based "color clock" may not look like a conventional clock, but it works just as well. Read closely as he explains how he came to create an entirely new way of displaying and reading the time of day. 'T was a dark and blurry night. What's that noise, I wondered? What time is it anyway? Where are my glasses? Can't see the clock without my glasses! That's no surprise because that's been the case since I was about 10 years old. I was able to see my clock, but it appeared only as a green-glowing thing on the dresser. Hmm, why don't I design a clock that I can read anytime? I pondered the idea for a while. Because I was able to see the green color of the clock, I was sure that I could differentiate between different colored lights. Two-color LEDs are good for at least three hues, and blue LEDs are reasonably priced now, so I started thinking about a simple and inexpensive design.
