The conductive polymer market is expected to see signif- icant growth over the next few years, with demand in the U.S. alone increasing 5.9 percent annually to become a $4.5 billion market by 2008. As the specialty chemicals market for electronics grows, several companies are expanding their presence through acquisitions or investment. CircuiTree spoke with Dow Coming's Marjorie Dwane (Global Market Manager, Board and Module Protection) and Phu Nguyen (Thermal Management Materials) regarding the company's foray into the printed circuit board industry's specialty chemical market, and how its partnership with Scottish start-up Invint promises to change the way these materials are made.
