Description. Pressurized, four- to six-passenger, single-engine, turboprop-powered business transport aircraft. Sponsor. Originally sponsored by TBM International, a consortium of Aerospatiale General Aviation Division (Socata) and Mooney Aircraft Corp. Mooney withdrew in May 1991. Status. TBM 850 in production after superseding production of the TBM 700 in 2006. Total Produced. Socata delivered 331 TBM 700s through 2007, including approximately 36 to military customers. It delivered 222 TBM 850s through 2010. Application. Short- to medium-range business / executive passenger transportation. Price Range. TBM 850, $3.3 million, typically equipped.
