YOU may have been a member of ICES for some time, so this could be a good time to consider whether you are at the most appropriate grade for your position and experience. Anyone who has been at the grade of affiliate, graduate or associate for more than a few years should consider whether they are now eligible for one of the examined grades. One of the benefits of membership is the professional qualification you gain, so those not at an examined grade are not taking full advantage of this, as these lower levels are not professional grades.
