A new bus station in the borough of Slough, which is on the western outskirts of London near Heathrow Airport, features a sleek, futuristic design that is anchoring a major redevelopment of the region's urban core. Designed by Bblur Architecture, of London, and engineered by the Bath, United Kingdom, office of the international engineering firm Buro Happold, the station opened last May and is the first new structure completed as part of a £450-million (U.S.$705-million) master plan known as the Heart of Slough.
