The department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Universidad de los Andes (Unian-des) in Bogota, Colombia, invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position. The anticipated starting date is August 2, 2012. Successful candidates must have proven ability in carrying out scientific research projects and an inclination for interdisciplinary cooperation. This includes the ability to develop and sustain an active research program with internal and external funding. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. and must have exemplary records of achievement in research as an assistant professor, associate professor, junior professor, or university researcher. Candidates with an outstanding career outside academia will also be considered.
