A sleek, 350 M long suspension bridge that will feature short masts and a shallow cable profile will provide light-rail and pedestrian access across Ireland's Liffey River, which flows through a wide and verdant valley 9 km west of Dublin. The design, by Paris-based Explorations Architecture and the London office of the international engineering firm Buro Happold, won a competition conducted by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland on behalf of the Irish government's Railway Procurement Agency, which oversees light-rail and subway projects.
