Eighty-six years after it opened in Stuttgart, Germany, the Mercedes-Benz museum has been rebuilt to accommodate its growing vehicle collection and the 450,000 visitors who come to call each year. UN Studio, an architecture firm based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, collaborated with engineers with Werner Sobek Inge-nieure, of Stuttgart, to create an inven-tive trefoil design that was inspired by such mathematical models as the Moebius strip and the Klein bottle.
