An innovative bridge design now graces the skyline of Edinburgh―the Scottish city so renowned for its medieval and neoclassical structures that the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization has made it part of the World Heritage List. The Greenside Place Link Bridge connects St. James Centre, a shopping mall, to the Nottingham Place Terminal, part of the Greenside Place parking facility, spanning 164 ft (50 m) over Leith Street, one of Edinburgh's busiest thoroughfares.
