Alongside our generous sponsors Dsposal, WasteAid will be co-hosting the Waste Matters Theatre and digging deep into where responsibility for waste really lies. The theatre will also host the WasteAid photo exhibition from the recent competition "The Wonders of Waste". With an exciting programme, workshop and exhibition the partners hope to create a buzz, and show that Waste Matters. CIWM President, Professor David C Wilson MBE, will be giving the opening address at Waste Matters, in theatre 14. Having contributed his life's work to improving waste management in lower-income countries, Professor Wilson has leveraged his presidency of CIWM to put a spotlight on the topic. Zoe Lenkiewicz of WasteAid will chair a panel discussion on global responsibility for post-consumer waste. Featuring former ISWA President David Newman, James Beard of international environmental compliance firm Valpak, and Joanne Green, Senior Policy Associate at the impactful charity Tearfund, this hot topic debate will uncover iniquities of waste around the world.
