Faun Viatec - the vacuum sweeper manufacturing division of Faun -is now winning a significant percentage of the UK market, according to UK sales manager Austin Anderson. "The Faun Viajet sweeper is a high specification, quality product so initially, we found it difficult to compete on price terms with the other major players in the market," he explains. "But after winning a number of initial orders for just one single machine, it's satisfying to note that customers are now comingback and ordering machines in multiple numbers," he adds.One of those customers that has recently purchased more than one machine is Redditch-based Kelly Plant Hire. Having operated the same well-known brand of truck-mounted sweeper since he started operating vacuum sweepers, proprietor Shaun Kelly not only praises the can-do approach by Austin and the rest of the Faun team, he was confident enough to switch brands entirely and purchase four additional new Faun Viajet 7 truckmounts, following the success of an initial unit.
