Swansea Council has taken delivery of 38 new Dennis Eagle RCVs - the largest ever order placed by the Council aspart of a significant investment programme in new equipment worth around £6m.The decision to award the contract to Dennis Eagle was reached following a competitive tender process whichtook into account value for money and whole life service costs. All the new fleet will feature the "DennisConnect" telematics system, which enables remote diagnostics and a number of specification enhancementsdesigned to both reduce driver fatigue, enhance safety and help protect vulnerable road users and pedestrians. Thisincludes a four-camera CCTV system, automatic braking and a nearside turn alarm.
