Things are looking good for Blackburn-based Vision Techniques. After what national sales manager Steve Hurd describes as a record year in 2017, it is now expanding its customer base further in the quarrying, mining and construction sectors, following the appointment of Lee Taylor.Lee will be focusing on the construction and mining sectors after recent figures suggest that for the period 2000 to 2017, over 3,500 injuries - and 31 fatalities -occurred in the sector in the UK.But that's not to say that Vision Techniques is turning its back on waste and recycling, for which a number of specifically-tailored products have been designed. "The dangers from runaway vehicles as the result of the handbrake not being engaged and the possibility of reversing accidents in RCV operations mean we are continually looking to enhance our products in waste and recycling,"Steve confirms.
