Change is upon us. In the sector, at CIWM, and even with your magazine, which has a new look and name - Circular - and is now printed on 100 per cent recycled paper. Undoubtedly, bigger shifts are yet to come in the resource and waste management sector, after the publication of the new resources and waste strategy for England from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Its aim is to create a more circular economy that keeps resources in use for longer. Although good in its intent, major changes will be required across the sector if the government is to deliver on its headline promises.
