There has been a huge amount of government - and policy - activity in our sector in recent months. The publication of the resources and waste strategy was a watershed moment, which has given us a strong framework upon which we can plan for the future. The consultations on Extended Producer Responsibility, consistent collections, deposit return schemes and plastics taxes have put a bit more meat on the bones, but a lot of detail still needs to come.
