Andy Willcott has worked in waste management since the late 90s, starting as a collection driver in Cornwall. He moved into festivals and events in 2001, first as a site cook for Network Recycling, later joining the operational crew, and soon becoming a site manager. In the winter months, he managed teams conducting waste analysis across the UK, gaining valuable experience of regional practices. In 2008, Willcott formed Critical Waste and secured the Glastonbury Festival contract. Here, the RWM 2019 speaker tells Circular about his work.
