There are more safety solutions available to operators than ever before, from in-cab cameras, to cyclist warning systems and anti-theft devices, but what has been behind this increased commitment to health and safety? "Some of the high-profile safety incidents that have been widely covered in the media in recent years have undoubtedly brought about a great deal of change throughout the industry," commented Vehicle Weighting Solutions' (VWS) sales director, Shaun Hamilton. "And I think it is being driven forward by the industry as a whole -the suppliers, vehicle manufacturers, operators and drivers themselves. Staying safe has always been the priority and many of the high scale incidents that have been investigated and shared across the industry have led to a renewed realisation of this."
